Pricing

Pricing for art works vary according to size, subject, media, support, and complexity of  background.  Works may be in graphite, colored pencil, or acrylic on paper, canvas, panel, or solid wood.  The client and artist will decide the appropriate selection for the chosen subject.

PORTRAIT FEES:

       Animal:   Head   9x12 and larger in graphite or colored pencil, $300

                                  and higher. 

                       Full figure   16x20 and larger in  graphite or colored pencil,

                                           $500 and higher.

 

                        Head   9x12 and larger in acrylic, $400 and higher.

                        Full figure   16x20 and larger in acrylic $600 and higher.

 

        Human:    Head and shoulders    11x14 in graphite or colored pencil,

                                                             $600 and higher

                         Head and shoulders   16x20 in graphite or colored pencil,

                                                            $800 and higher.

 

                          Head and shoulders   11x14 in acrylic, $800 and higher.

                          Head and shoulders   16x20 in acrylic, $1000 and higher.

                          3/4 or full figure   18x24 in acrylic, $1500 and higher.

 

      Prices increase as the size of the portrait increases, and additional charges incur for full figure, inclusion of hands, bare feet, complex background and inclusion of such items as toys.  For each additional person or animal add 50%.

 

Example:  a 24x30 basic acrylic painting of a child would be $5,000.  Holding a doll or pet while sitting in a wicker chair, with lace curtains on the window, may cost about $8,000.

 

50% deposit is required and the balance is due on the completion of the work.  Mat when appropriate, framing and any taxes are additional.

 

PAINTING & DRAWING PRICES:

            Subject matter for painting and drawing is diverse and ranges from still life to nature studies.  There is also a great variety of size and media.  These factors, and the complexity of form determine the price of individual works.

    Price range:  $500—$10,000

PHOTOGRAPHY

             The artist  employs straight photography with no digital enhancement and rare cropping.
